Hands Across The Water

The newly formed Renishaw Rangers youngsters hosted training for a select team from Cosmos Utd FC all the way from Taiwan on Wednesday the 5th of August at Mount St Mary’s College.

The team from Taiwan were of mixed ages and arrived in England on Monday the 3rd of August. Since arriving they have spent time training and learning English before training with Renishaw.

Jon Daniel the manager for the Renishaw had this to say “When we were first asked to train with a team from Taiwan my initial thoughts were of the fantastic opportunity it provides for our players and the club. Our team has only been established a few months and it was a real test but also a treat for all the hard work the players and people connected with the team have put in to get us off the ground. It was very interesting to see the contrasting styles of football from the team situated in another continent and also the different training and coaching methods. The training was a real exhibition of great football by both clubs and a real pleasure to be involved in, All in all it was a great exhibition of football and I’m so proud of all the players involved”.
